About the Position
Job Title: Termite & Pest Control Technician
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Based in Kinston, NC – serving clients in Kinston, Greenville, Jacksonville, New Bern, Goldsboro, and surrounding Eastern North Carolina communities.
As a Termite & Pest Control Technician, you’ll play a key role in protecting our customers’ homes, health, and property. You’ll be trained to inspect structures, identify pest and termite problems, and apply the proper treatments while following all safety and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of residential and commercial properties to identify insects, rodents, and wood-destroying organisms.
- Identify pest species and conditions that are contributing to infestations.
- Develop and implement integrated pest management (IPM) plans tailored to each customer’s needs.
- Apply EPA-registered pesticides and termiticides safely and accurately according to label directions and company procedures.
- Perform termite treatments, including trenching, rodding, baiting, and crawlspace work when needed.
- Set and service traps, bait stations, and monitoring devices to control rodents and other pests.
- Communicate inspection findings, treatment plans, and preventive recommendations clearly to customers.
- Maintain accurate and legible records of inspections, chemicals used, and services performed.
- Operate and care for a service vehicle, sprayers, power equipment, and hand tools.
- Follow all company safety procedures, use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and comply with North Carolina structural pest control regulations.
Qualifications We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time, and follow a daily route schedule.
- Comfortable working in crawlspaces, attics, basements, and outdoor environments in all seasons.
- Physically able to lift equipment, move hoses, and perform light digging or trenching when needed.
- Detail oriented and able to follow label directions and written procedures precisely.
- Willingness to complete North Carolina structural pest control training and licensing requirements.
- Previous pest control, construction, maintenance, or related experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.

- Jacksonville & Richlands
- New Bern & surrounding areas
- Snow Hill, La Grange, Ayden, Grifton, Pink Hill, Deep Run, Trenton, and nearby rural communities
You’ll spend your days out in the field visiting homes and businesses – not stuck behind a desk. Every day is a little different, and you’ll see a wide range of structures, pest issues, and job sites.
